Kingwood Debuts JZWH-860 and JWZL-688 at Guangzhou Biomass Exhibition

On August 8, 2023, the 11th Asia-Pacific Biomass Energy Exhibition opened in Guangzhou — the largest biomass energy trade event in China. The exhibition brought together leading domestic and international manufacturers, creating a concentrated forum for technology transfer, procurement decisions, and industry dialogue across the full biomass value chain.

JZWH-860: China’s Largest Horizontal Biomass Pellet Mill

The centrepiece of Kingwood’s exhibition presence was the JZWH-860 horizontal biomass pellet mill — currently the largest horizontal ring die pellet mill in commercial production in China. Key performance parameters:

Alongside the JZWH-860, Kingwood exhibited the JWZL-688 vertical biomass pellet mill, rated at 2–2.3 t/h, which continues to perform as a proven mid-capacity workhorse across Kingwood’s installed base in 30 countries.

Complete Wet-Feed Production Line Solutions

Beyond individual machines, Kingwood’s engineering team presented complete wet-feed pellet production line designs — the configuration best suited to operators processing high-moisture raw biomass without pre-drying the feedstock before the line begins.

A standard Kingwood wet-feed line integrates the following process stages in a single engineered sequence:

1. Drum chipping — primary size reduction of logs, branches, or bulk agricultural residue
2. Coarse grinding — hammer mill reduction to intermediate particle size
3. Drum drying — controlled moisture reduction to <15% for pelletizing
4. Fine grinding — secondary hammer mill pass to pelletizer-ready particle size
5. Pelletizing — ring die pellet mill (JWZL or JZWH series)
6. Counter-flow cooling — pellet temperature and moisture stabilisation
7. Packaging — automated pellet packaging to finished-product specification

The full line is designed under Kingwood’s Three-Standardization Framework: integrated, dust-free, and automated. All material transfer between process stages runs in enclosed conveyance with integrated dust removal — a specification that directly affects operator compliance with air quality regulations and reduces housekeeping and fire-risk overhead for the plant operator.

Maximum line capacity in Kingwood’s current design portfolio reaches 200,000 metric tons per year. Line design is customised per project based on feedstock type, moisture content, target pellet specification, and site constraints.
